Bankruptcy of the Gustav and Albert Kuhlmann company. Takeover of manufacturing and business premises with a total of 14 employees by Dortmund businessman Erich Dieckmann.

Conversion of production from brass to aluminium alloy due to wartime economy at the beginning of the Second World War.

First structural enlargements of the production facility and offices.

Founding of the sister company "NORMBAU Erich Dieckmann GmbH" based in Kehl (later Renchen) by Erich Dieckmann and his son Dieter Dieckmann. (This company was sold in 1991 by Dieter Dieckmann to the British company "Newman Tonks" – now "Allegion").

Son Rudolf Dieckmann joins the company as second managing director and replaces founder Erich Dieckmann as managing director in 1972.
